Embedded video does not work on mobile

Hi!

I have a strange problem where my embedded video on my home page is working fine on desktop browsers but not on both Iphone or Android mobile phones.
It does not even show up (just white sceen where the video is) and you can't even see the menu navigation links.

What could be the issue here? Appreciate any help! ☺️

Same here.  Just chatted with tech support and they say it's due to the mobile devices themselves, yet I'm seeing plenty of mobile background videos via other websites on the same mobile device, so it's clearly got SOMETHING to do with Squarespace's end. Very depressing.

You can insert a fallback image instead, if you want this, we can give the code.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry but that feels like it loses the whole point of having the video in the first place since most of my traffic is mobile.
Is there really no solution to this?
