fullybob
Hi I'm currently building a portfolio website. I have some commercial projects that I've uploaded to Vimeo but want to remain hidden on Vimeo, and only available for viewing on my website. I have a Vimeo Plus account and as far as I can see Vimeo advertises this as a use of their service. The issue I have is that when I link the URL squarespace says that it can't read the URL code. I don't have this issue with videos that are open for public viewing on Vimeo. Is this a Squarespace setting or a Vimeo setting that I'm getting wrong?? Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
I think you can tell Vimeo specific websites where the video is allowed to be embedded. If you add SS to that list, then SS should be able to find it. I think that may be done by the use of a private link that you embed in the video block on your site. https://vimeo.com/features/video-privacy Link to comment
fullybob
Thanks Derrick I tried that in Vimeo with no luck. The solution in the end was to completely remove the asset and start over. I think it may have been to do with copying a previous page then changing the vimeo URL that was causing some kind of issue. Link to comment
mrjessewalker
Same exact issue. Video is public on Vimeo but can't embed. https://vimeo.com/477264207 Link to comment
HeatherDawn
mrjessewalker - change 'Where can this be embedded to 'Specific domains' and then type the domain of the site where you plan to embed the Vimeo vid. Hope this helps! Link to comment
