Expand Banner Image Width

Hi, does anyone know how to expand the banner image area to span the full screen width? I'd preferably want to expand the area and change the color to black so that the image doesn't need to be scaled larger to reach the screen edges. Here's a screenshot. Thanks!

Add to Page Settings > Advanced > Header
