Payment Icons - Homepage

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hi,

I was looking to add payment icons to the footer of my homepage so my customer's can see which type of payments are be accepted on my website e.g. Visa, Mastercard ( I am currently registered with Stripe). Squarespace do no offer this at the moment so they have suggested I reach out on this forum to see if anybody has a code which  I could use.

Can anybody help?

Many thanks

Suzanne

Thank you for sending this on but I don't accept PayPal via my site.

No issues, with it. Very happy using Stripe.

There are essentially three ways to do this:

  • You can add an appropriate image in an Image Block (as @tuanphan suggested)
  • You can add the appropriate SVGs for the payment methods and chain them together with some simple HTML in a Code or Markdown Block.
  • You can use an icon font like FontAwesome and then use HTML to place the FA icons in a Code or Markdown Block

The specific code will depend upon the payment methods you want to advertise and the way you want them to look (colour/monochrome, flat, 3D, etc). Stripe offers different methods in different countries and some stores may use PayPal.

The site I designed uses Paypal and Stripe. I am by no means a web developer.

Add this code within the footer page.

Adjust position using the align="". PayPal and Stripe URL's link to UK/GB sites.

<!-- PayPal & Stripe Logo --><table border="0" cellpadding="" cellspacing="" align=""><tr><td align=""></td></tr><tr><td align="left"><a href="https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/paypal-popup" target="_blank"><img src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/webstatic/mktg/logo/bdg_secured_by_pp_2line.png" border="" alt="Secured by PayPal" width="159" height="55">
</a><a href="https://stripe.com/gb/payments" target="_blank"><img src="https://cdn.brandfolder.io/KGT2DTA4/at/v5bcwzcgcmgbp3676v3rg79q/Powered_by_Stripe_-_white.png" border="0" alt="Powered by Stripe" width="159" height="36"><div style="text-align:left"></div></td></tr></table><!-- PayPal & Stripe Logo -->

@tuanphan Hello, I would like to add payment icons to the bottom of my website as well, however I am looking for something more modern. I'd like to include Affirm and Klarna. I also just learned the Maestro has begun to phase out in parts of Europe. Thank you. 🫡

So you want icons: Affirm, Klarna, Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, American Express?

Yes please, and instead of maestro I’d like PayPal. I’m currently working on directing some dns settings with my.sirv, so my website is currently down.

Affirm isn’t available on Squarespace.

I can get them for you first thing in the morning/afternoon. Sorry to be on a tangent @tuanphan , I was trying to prepare my website for my.sirv (a website for 3D product models) but I am unsure what I am doing wrong. Sirv states to have a CNAME pointing to my sirv account but end up with a black screen stating “apiunkown” or something like that. I will upload screenshots first thing in the morning with more details. Thanks.

@tuanphan For the payment icons I'm going to use the website @Nansy recommended. Thank you for offering the coding help. 🙂 @paul2009 I will join the line of tickets to recommend adding Affirm to Squarespace, and maybe ask for a payment icon widget similar to Shopify.

I am quite the rookie if you haven't noticed already haha. I think what I was looking for is simply linking the API and not doing a CNAME with the DNS. image.thumb.png.245b60379c078caefe40c3d428c09632.png

Then again I'm not too sure. I plan on having my first products ready for upload this weekend, so I will be able to check exactly what I need to be able to embed my.sirv 3D product models. If you are familiar with my.sirv and how to operate it all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks @tuanphan

Hello I've come to the realization that Squarespace does not offer product embedding.
