Anchor Links and Fixed Header

My team and I are creating a glossary for definitions of words for a curriculum that we are developing on a separate platform.  I have been able to create anchor links so  when words are clicked on the other platform it will go to the glossary page and to the specific word.  However, because of the fixed header, a person would have to scroll to up see the definition.  I know that you can insert line breaks into the code injection, but then the spacing of the whole page would be off.

Is there a a way around this situation?  I am working in squarespace 7.1.
