Dropdown text without markdown

Hi, I want to create a dropdown link with text popping up, but without using the markdown option, reason being that I cannot customise the markdown text boxes as needed, as I would like two text boxes next to each other that drop down through the same dropdown, and potentially even be able to add an image to the dropdown. Does anyone happen to have a CSS code for this?
