Accepting Partial Payments

Desperate to figure out how to allow a client to only make a deposit at the time of booking.  We operate a travel business so full payment is not required at the time of purchase simply a deposit.  We have several variants of one product so I cannot necessarily build a variant within our variants as we will max out the 100 - unless I build a London Trip - Full Pay & London Trip - Deposit Pay seprate products which is not ideal.  Right now our bandaid is to provide a code which discounts the trip 50% but that looks like the tour is half off so I do not want to mislead clients.  SS said you cannot adjust the wording under "discount" as that is set HTML/not editable. Anyone have a fix or resolution for this? 

I'd like an answer to this, too.
