change layout of product page 7.0

Hi there,

I would like the ability to change the layout of the product page (like adding a spacer, or putting text next to, not above the prodcuts) but I don't seem to have the ability to edit the layout at all. I tried creating a second page and adding products from a non-linked product page, but when you opened the description of the product page, it automatically had a "back to product" button that took you to the non-linked page, not back to the previous page (and I didn't have the option to remove the button). Any ideas?

I am using the Avenue 7.0 template.
