Linking add to cart to an external URL

You can add link in Description, then we can give code to replace add to cart with link & change link to button

I've been following this tread and looking to implement this into our (Brine template) website. I have to admit i'm a bit lost on where to start since the thread and code has several iterations.

Ideally we would like to use variant within a given product listing, each linking to a different external URL when the add to cart button is clicked for that variant.  

Where are the most recent instructions and code located, I saw a mention of a GitHub, but no link to it. 

Any help to get this off the ground would be awesome .

The code is referenced in my December 17, 2021 post earlier in this thread.
