"Load More" button on Gallery Page

I have finally figured out how to have captions appear only in lightbox mode, thanks to a lot of help from some users on these forums. However, the amount of photos on the gallery page and the content in the captions is so much information that it crashes while on mobile. Is there a way to have only a set amount of photos load at a time, then when they get to the end of that section, have a "load more" button to load more of the page?

I hope that makes sense.

If you have 7.0 and if you have Lazy Summaries Load plugin, you can use your gallery page in a summary block, then use Lazy setting to do Load More.

Or if you have 7.1 and have Lazy Summaries Load plugin, this is quite clunky, but you could upload each image as a cover for blog post. Then use a summary block, hide all titles/desc/meta etc, and use the Lazy Summaries load more feature.

(The latter works great actually, but it didn't work for me as I needed lightbox to show up for all images, not just the ones that have been loaded)
