Gallery with text and button on the images

Recommended Posts

Hi there, I want to create a page which should serve as my homepage. On top,  I intend to show a gallery with images slide automatically. So far so good. However, I don't have the chance to add a text and button as I can when I use a banner. How do I do that? Screenshot 1 shows the way I have it now, screenshot 2 how I would like it to be, of course I'd like to keep my typo like I have it on a banner (screenshot 3).

Any ideas how I can get started?

HI THERE @tuanphanI use BEAUMONT and versos 7.1.

I enabled caption but there is no option to put a text on the images as it can be done with a banner. Squarespace responded that I can only do it with coding. I would like to use a gallery on top of my homepage to highlight the latest or most important articles. So this is what people see first. Without a text at least + ideally a button I will only confuse website visitors.

All I can do is to add a description so you see a small paragraph below the image. However that's not useful. 1757562196_Screenshot2020-08-10at16_17_04.thumb.png.35963bab4a457db3635dfdc3710efddc.png

Add caption first, then we can help to move it over image

Hi @tuanphan Thank you!

Unfortunately, there is no option to add a caption I can only add a description as it can be seen under the gallery image.  I have enabled caption and can only add a description when I klick on the image button. Then that description only appears below the image and in a small paragraph. Is there an option I haven't discovered? Even Squarespace support told me that only this is possible and if I wanted text and button on image, I'd need to code. Hhhmmm ...
