[Need Help] Cannot Remove Category from Store

Hi, I've come up to a problem where when I try to remove a category from the Store Advanced Settings, I just can't!
When I try to delete the category, it just doesn't work and it stays there even after I press "Delete". Please help.

It drives me nuts, I've been trying for a few hours. I emailed them but no response until Monday, at least... If someone can find something?

This is not something that you or the community can fix. Only Squarespace can fix this issue. As this forum is not monitored for bug reports, if you are experiencing this issue, please report it to Squarespace Customer Care. You can reach out to them here.

However, I can confirm this issue on Squarespace 7.1 sites, in all Collections. For example, you cannot delete categories in the Advanced section of the Store Settings.

As a temporary workaround, you can create a new Products Page and move your products to that new page. 

If you started your Squarespace 7.1 trial after Tuesday, you'll have new Product Collection features and so you won't be affected by this issue with Product Categories. On these newer sites, there is now a Categories option under General (see screenshot below) where you can edit or delete categories.

Please see post above. You cannot remove it. You must wait for Squarespace engineers to fix this issue.

If you haven’t yet updated with that new 7.1  categories update (don’t, it’s terrible), then you can control the categories (delete, create, edit) in the “edit product” panel of the product itself. Or through the inventory list in commerce.

I have the same issue!

I contacted Customer Care and have been informed that only my site was affected and that they would need to look further into it. Now it's been about 2 weeks and still no solution.
