Separate Navigation for each Language (or Hide Folders in separate languages)

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://www.mesahatfoundation.org

I am using the Basil Template, I have Several Folders, that contain Pages, in Each Language. My problem is that Both languages appear in the navigation menu, while I need the ONLY English to appear when the visitor Selects English at the Welcome Page, and Vise Versa.

I tried the Create-multilingual-site, and several other things and it was NOT what I am looking for.

I have already tried link 1 and it wasn't what I was looking for, So, I tried you second suggested link, but unfortunately this is what shows when I am on (en/home), still the two menus.

I would like to clarify that both suggestions might be working when the folders are made only for the languages. In this website, it is not the case, We need drop down menus on the nav. so we separated each parent item to Folder, and there are some other pages with NO folder. So it is a mix.

In that case I added the cod you provided in your website, but didn't work.

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue. I'm using the Foundry template. I have a French folder with the pages in it in French and an English folder with the pages in it in English. I have a homepage with an English button and a Français button. When the visitor clicks on English s/he is taken to the English pages but then in the navigation menu on the page the only option that come up are Français and English. The other pages only appear up if the visitor clicks again on English in the navigation menu (or vice versa re French). How do I fix this (is it even possible) so that when a visitor has clicked on English on the homepage then the only things that show up in the navigation menu are the English pages? Or French if they've clicked on the Français button? I have no IT skills at all by the way.

Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.

I've used the second method almost successfully. I have a trilingual website, with a folder for services (3 pages) in each language, as well as a few other pages. The problem I'm getting is that clicking on the folders for the second and third languages goes to a blank page. The first one is fine. Not sure what the problem is. I'd appreciate any tips!

It looks like you figured it out? I don't see any folders here.
