Gallery image hover text and lightbox into more text

Hi folks,

Im trying to achieve the following;

1) my gallery to display images that dim and display text upon hovering over them

2) clicking on gallery images to lightbox which displays additional text (im trying to avoid having to create additional pages, for displays that are merely additional text).

I managed to achieve Item 1, a gallery where the images dim and display text upon hovering over them. However, I am unable to get them to be selectable for lightboxing.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I've done a bit of a search, but apologies if this has been addressed already.
