Discounts Linked to Subscriptions can it be done?

I am wanting to create a subscription so when a customer signs up for it they automatically get a discount on selected products for having the subscription. Currently I have to generate a discount code for that customer that they could then use to get the discounts, however the issue is if that customer shares that code online or with friends then everyone is getting this discount that only the subscriber should be getting. What I want to be able to do is if a customer is logged into their account and has an active subscription the discount is automatically applied for anything without the need for entering a discount code. Is this possible currently are are their any potential workarounds that I am not seeing?

Thanks, customer service has already requested the feature request. They suggested I post to the forum to see if there would be a good work around for now. 

Discounts are applied at the checkout stage, and it isn't possible to apply workarounds on this page.
