injection code + angled section code not working in section block

HELP!

Can't seem figure out why my custom CSS for angled section and injection code (vertical rule) isn't workin for my "welcome" section block. I have code elsewhere utilizing similar functions and working fine.

Firstly, the angled section code appears in my preview when applied, however doesn't show up in live view mode.

Secondly, my injection code for vertical rule doesn't appear in this block but appears in every other part of my site its utilized.

Any and all help would be immensely appreciated as these are the last two elements needed to complete the site. Attached reference as to what I want to achieve.

Not going to lie, that one took a minute..... or 30....

Because of the parallax, the background image isn't in the section.
