Page Loads Twice on Safari Issues

Question

Site URL: https://www.loxd.io/home-page/

Hello!

I'm encountering an issue when I use safari to open my website. The pages loads up and then refreshes. I'm not sure what the issue is so I'm wondering if anybody has encountered it as well or it might be something with just my website and the custom code I'm using.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Comb through your css, make sure you aren't targeting that element twice. It may be worth putting the code for that element in the page header injection with style tags.

It looks like your h1 block is displaying before the slide up transition starts.

Is that what you are seeing. The text shows up, then disappears, then slides up into place?

Free Squarespace 7.1 Anchor Link and Accordion Plugins available here!

If I replied to one of your questions with code, it was either CSS or jQuery.

To add CSS, go to Design -> Custom CSS

jQuery needs some additional steps. Head here: https://code.jquery.com/ and click on minified, under jQuery 3.x and copy that code into Squarespace.

After you put that code into the code injection section in Squarespace, you can add the code I supplied. The code from me will need <script> added before it and </script> added after it (only for jQuery).

There are two places that you can add the code, one is site wide (adds to all pages). Settings -> Advanced -> Code Injection

The other is for a specific page (adds to one page only). Pages -> Gear Icon next to the page -> Advanced

Hello @rwp

Thanks again for helping out!

Correct. The text shows up, then disappears, then slides up again. I actually see the issue throughout my other pages as well. Would you say this has something with the animation?
