Jess-7992
Site URL: https://tarantula-lobster-atz4.squarespace.com/ Hi there, I have a Canadian client who wants to know if they can receive their Squarespace yearly bill/invoice in Canadian dollars? (For accounting purposes.) Is that possible? (It's currently in Australian Dollars as that's where I'm located.) Thanks in advance, Jess Link to comment
JensenV
Squarespace accepts subscription payments in the following currencies: $ USD (US Dollar) € EUR (Euro) £ GBP (British Pound Sterling) A$ AUD (Australian Dollar) https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/115016047168-Accepted-currencies-and-payment-methods-for-Squarespace-billing * It isn’t possible to change your site's currency after your first payment. Amanda12
Is there a work around this? Is it possible to duplicate your website .. create a new account and transfer the website over to a new account with the new currency on the new subscription. Link to comment
BryonyR
I've stumbled over this thread as I too have been looking to find a way to change my billing currency. I imagine there are a number of others who have sought to do the same in the past too. Unfortunately the website was originally built for me by a third party consultant, and they made the USD selection, which I now seem to be stuck with... this incurs unnecessary fees to my bank cards as it's not my home currency. I don't understand why it isn't possible to change this (to GBP in my case) for future billing purposes? And if it really is not possible, as Amanada12 asks, what work around might exist? Squarespace doesn't have a mechanism to change the billing currency after the first payment. I have asked for this to be changed but it is not a priority for them. Marni
Well this answers the question I had too, but I'm not thrilled about it. My client just purchased hosting. She is on sabbatical in the UK right now and all her other currency choices were greyed out so she had to choose GBP. She'd like to be able to change it when she comes back to Canada. We're much more used to dealing in US funds here. I wonder why her other choices were greyed out. Geolocation? Link to comment

If SS made that a design choice in their interface it would be madness though! It would mean that no designer could build someone a site in a country with different currency unless the designer used VPN to fake their own location. Find my contributions useful? BHP12
Is there still no move from Squarespace to change this? It must be about 20 minutes work for their team? My site ws built years ago and billed in USD, I'm in the UK. I'm on legacy and need increase my page limit so would like to upgrade to the modern "business" plan. It seems in the UK I should be paying £15 a month if paid annually, but will have to pay £20 instead due to the USD thing! So are my options, create a whole new account a build a new page from scratch or pay up? If so then at least I don't have to think about the decision to leave. I'm off........ Link to comment
Paul Bamford
Dealing with this now - set up sites in 2014 and only had USD as an option, but I'm in Australia, so just spoke to customer service who suggested I make a duplicate of the site, effecting the SEO on 9 year websites.
