Hi,

I would like to switch to Hill template, but that option is not available for me. why is that?

"Hill" is a starting point of Squarespace 7.1, which has a single template.

However, you are using Squarespace 7.0 which has many different templates. You can choose any other Squarespace 7.0 template, but you can't choose 7.1.

There isn't a migration option yet, so to use Hill, start a new trial and then manually copy the information across.

A member of the 7.0 Brine Family would be the closest thing to the look Hill provides. You would have the choice to change to that, although I would start from scratch if it were me.

2. What are the benefits of 7.1? And how can i upgrade into that?

A migration option is likely to be added in the future, but right now both platforms are fully supported.

The most important thing to know is that 7.0 is a whole lot of template families with a lot of designs in each one, with a couple of exceptions. Brine by itself has 40 or so, Avenue is just one. 7.1 is one template with a new streamlined config platform, and it is just one template with a bunch of designs to start from all of which can be tweaked to look like any other.
