Client Member Space on Squarespace

Hello everyone!

We are looking at adding a client portal to our Squarespace website. We are a marketing agency and have recurring clients - we need them to be able to login onto a portal to access all info about our workload (specific to them). I'm currently looking at memberstack and memberspace but would like to hear about people's experience using similar tools. We need to be able to create a login for each client and for them to see content that is specific to them.

Thanks!

Marie

MarieMF, have you found a solution to this yet? I took a  look at MemberStack (thanks Duncan) and I don't see an option to add content for individual clients. I spoke with Smart Vault yesterday and they are more of a file sharing portal, without the nice UI. I still haven't found something that fits the bill. Wondering if you have had better successs.

I know it's out there because I see client logins for businesses that I know have personalized content. I just can't figure out what they are using.

Hi Marie 👋 The good folks over at https://www.pxlvue.com/ built a beautiful client portal with Memberstack. I'm happy to show you how if you're still looking for a solution. You can reach me here → team@memberstack.io or DM me in the forum.

Hey Duncan, does MemberStack provide the ability to tailor the content for each member/client?

If you want a true portal where the details are updated automatically for each client then you'll probably want to invest in a third party business management tool, like Dubsado and use that alongside your Squarespace website. Dubsado allows you to build client portals where clients can access project details, view documents, pay invoices.

Third party 'member' add-ons can't fully secure any data that is stored on Squarespace so aren't ideal for this purpose.

I run an architecture practice and would love to create a space for clients to login to access files and get an update on project progress.

Are you using a business management tool to track project progress already?

If so, you may be able to create client portals using your existing tool, and either embed it within Squarespace or use a subdomain of your Squarespace website and direct customers there. If you're not using a tool, you may want to look at products like Dubsado.

We use a variety of software already so I'l look into embedding within Squarespace. But how would that work to create client specific areas? Could/would you use Member Areas for this?

You'd use the client login features that are built into the third party software you are using. Member Areas provides controlled access to common content; it is not suitable for client specific information.
