How to add a text only slider section

Recommended Posts

Hi Nalvarez,

While there isn't a built-in feature to setup a text slider, you may want to consider the following workarounds:

a) Setting up your text as images on a third party service and then upload those images to a gallery section that you can set to be a slideshow.

b) Split your text in between several posts in a Blog Page. You may want to add the text as the post title and/or excerpt and then use a Carousel Summary Block pulling content from the Blog Page. You'll be able to set the Summary Block to display the post excerpt if you would like.

You could set up a slider using this add-on https://www.squareaddons.com/shop-2/gallery-slider and just add in blank color block as your images, then add in your text content blocks as usual. Note, you cannot change the text from slide to slide. Just one set of content blocks can be set up to overlay the gallery slider.

If you are looking for a way to add Anchor Links, Gallery Blocks, or a Rotating Banner with Content Blocks overlaid in Squarespace 7.1, you can find all these plugins in our Squarespace add-on store here: www.Squareaddons.com -- Enjoy!

I am trying to achieve a text overlay on slider images, but I need for the text to change for each image. Basically what I need is what the Gallery Slider with content overlay does, but to be able to change the text. Is there any way to achieve this?

I have attached an image of how one of the slides to look. I would also like for the text overlay to have a color background and the text to be white.
