Guest Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 Site URL: https://www.octoolhouse.com/ Hello All - New to squarespace and new website. Looking to get some fresh eyes and feedback on the navigation and layout.
NikkiK Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Hello B! Going through your beautiful and easy to use site I have a little feedback for ya! I'm sure you're still in the process of making all links function but the SHOP button in the second block on the homepage brings us back to the home page rather than a shop page. I think these call to actions are great here but I'm wondering what your biggest goal here is? Is your biggest goal to get people emailing the store? Or shopping online? Or visiting in person? I would move your greatest objective to the top block on the homepage for example I would think shopping is more important that contacting so move that shop button up to the top 🙂 I understand if this is what the client wants though! Beautiful imagery and great variety - wide shot of appliances show multiple products and extreme close up shows off products/tools. In the first block about justifying tools I believe the comma after quality to describe the tools doesn't need to be there. Another thing I would love to see (this totally doesn't make or break the site) in the about page ask the company for a little more description: what sets these folks apart? What problem are they solving? (affordable, quality tool distributer? Was this a need or problem in the community before they opened business? Who have they helped? How have they created a positive impact in their community? - I think these pieces of information will connect the potential customer to the brand OC Tool House and will therefore continue to expand OC Tool House's community as well as bring in repeat customers because they are loyal to this brand. Also a bonus is faces - people looooooveee seeing the faces behind the brand - it helps them feel taken care of and humanizes the business. Keep up the great work BRamirez!
