Summary Block & Folders

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone:

I want to use the Summary Block (Wall) function on Squarespace to display articles on my site's homepage. However, I have not used the Blog preset page function. So, I have put all of my articles into unlisted folders. Is it possible for the pages in these unlisted folders to be displayed on the Summary Block wall display? Or is there another way for unlisted pages to be displayed in a Summary Block, without using the blog function? Thanks so much!

7.1 summary blocks pull content from Bog, Event, and Store pages, not folders.

7.0 pulls from Blog, gallery, event, store and project pages if the template has those.

Your articles would need to be in a blog to work with a summary, that would be the easiest way or you would have to build a layout page with a gallery of thumbnail images with clickthrus to each article. I think it would  be easier to copy them to blog posts. Blogs don't have to be blogs, that is why many wedding photographers use them to display individual weddings. One wedding per post. Then make a summary block to display thier work.  I use them for photography lessons and stories that I write. Works out quite well.
