How do i reduce the padding for all my website pages at one go?

As I'm not familiar with CSS coding at all, I would like to ask a general question here about padding.

How do I reduce (or adjust) the padding on the left and right hand sides for ALL my pages at one go?

So that there's some white space between my content & the left and right edges of my desktop screen.

Using Brine template, Squarespace 7.0

so this will adjust the padding for all my client's pages?

just curious, what does the above collection ID refer to in this case?

above code for One page, I guess collection ID is Page ID.

entire site, use this code

.Index-page-content {
    padding: 0 4.5vw !important;
}

thanks for sharing the code.

but it doesn't work at in my case.

i already have another code with a #collection ID to adjust padding for an image on my homepage.

so maybe that's why your above code doesn't work?
