Separating Image blocks so that they can be transformed individually

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm making a "meet our team" page for our website with 4 images and some text for each image. I'm using v 7.0.

The first thing I tried was using the pre-existing template for the 1-column "team" page (also tried designing the page as a blank page but same issue). Unfortunately, the default option is 3 people so I tried adding 1 row which has 1 image block and 1 text block (I tried adding this row to the bottom, middle and top of the page but same issue).

I can add the image and text block but I can't align them properly (the way it looks with the default boxes on the template) and I think I know the problem but can't find a solution.

When I add the image block, it's not seperated from the image above so I can't re-shape that image just by itself, it's locked to the image above. However, the image blocks on the default "team" template all act as individual blocks. Furthermore, the black "pin" that allows you to quickly add a new section here each image that is part of the template has two pins below, one that stretches the lenght of the image and one that stretches the length of the page. When I add an image, there's only one ontop and this one only stretches the lenght of the image which is why I can't add the textbox next to the image, only above it or below it. (I added screenshots so that it's easier to see.  The top one is how it looks with the default template, the bottom one how it looks when I add my own image block, as you can see the transformation bar on the right stretches across two images instead of one.)

I'm just wondering how to seperate the image/work around this issue so that the text block and image block  can be placed side by side?

Thank you for any help!
