Odd bugs with images

I am building a portfolio site, which includes 3 slideshows of images. I have completed one, except that it seems buggy on the inside.

In the first gallery I have 30 images. I uploaded jpgs that were 2500 pixels wide, as the maximum recommended size. Currently the slideshow seems to work, but in the gallery/image editor several of the thumbnails are missing. Also, some of the title/descriptions have gone missing. I have had to reload some of the images. I am reluctant to build the other 2 slideshows until I know what the problem is and whether it will cause more problems as I proceed.

Does anyone have any experience with this issue?

Yes, we have been suffering widespread image loss and content loss on the blog section of our Squarespace site. We've opened multiple tickets, to no avail. 

I've been facing this since a couple of weeks. The whole image upload and gallery management functionality is VERY inconsistent.
