Anchor Links result in page refresh

I've placed anchor links in buttons and all seem correctly configured. But when I click the button, it first refreshes the page and only then, after a second click on the button, will the page bring me to the anchored location on the website. 

The only thing I can think of is that the url slug .../privacy doesn't end on a '/'. But when I try update the url slug of the page to '/privacy/' and click save, Squarespace automatically turns it back to '/privacy'.

Any ideas what to do here?
