Email help

So im new to this stuff so bare with me. I just registered my domain and want to start using the email associated with my domain. Do i have to use this G suite through google? or can i just start using the email manually setup through my domain? If so where do I find the setting to put in my email app? 

For email, you will need a domain service (which you said you have), an email service and optionally an email client (if you don’t use webmail). G-Suite is one email service. There are others, but you’ll need to pay someone for this service.
