Need help with a few changes to the homepage design

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://suzan-terzian-draft.squarespace.com/homepage-content

Hi everyone,

My client has requested for several changes to be made to her website homepage & I'm not sure how to do some of the changes. And what CSS codes to key in.

So hope someone will be able to help me out?

I've attached the URL of my client's homepage below & the list of changes I need to make.

Template used is Brine template, Squarespace 7.0

 https://suzan-terzian-draft.squarespace.com/homepage-content

(1) 1st change - please refer to the reference site https://www.marieforleo.com.

You notice that the very image is a photo of Marie Forleo on the right & the large text on the left "THE WORLD NEEDS  THAT SPECIAL GIFT THAT ONLY YOU"HAVE.

My client would like to have the same design for her 1st image at the top which is an image block, using the same special font type & size seen on Marie Forleo's site.

• How do I upload & insert this special font type & size to be used for the entire image block, to replace the default title & subtitle? (i.e.  to replace the title "Hi I'm Suzan........" & the subtitle "I'm here to help you live a healthier.....")

(2) 2nd change - please refer to the reference site https://bernadetteabraham.com/index.php, scroll down to the 2nd part below that shows "Hi, I'm B. Fitness & Nutrition Expert, Health Advocate....."

My client would like to have the same design for her 2nd image which is also an image block, to replace the text that's currently shown (i.e. to replace the text "My passion is to empower people with cutting edge....")

• How do I create the 3 different sets of font types, sizes & colors as shown in the reference site, as I understand image blocks by default only allow the title & subtitle (using font types provided by Squarespace)?

• For the "Learn More" button, I'm unable to change the background color of the button under Site Styles. How do I change the background color of the button itself & position the button at the center instead?

(3) 3rd change - my client's own homepage at https://suzan-terzian-draft.squarespace.com/homepage-content

If you scroll down the page, you'll see I've integrated my client's Instagram feed and added a horizontal line just above the social media icons using the default line block.

• Is there any way for me to add a heading just above the Instagram feed using CSS code (with the option of changing the font type & size), instead of just adding another text block?

• As for the horizontal line, how do I increase its length (so that it will extend throughout the entire page) and size using CSS code?

(4) 4th change - my client's own homepage at https://suzan-terzian-draft.squarespace.com/homepage-content

Lastly, how can i adjust the padding on the left and right hand side of all the images seen, so that there is some amount of white space on the left & right hand side of these images?

Hope someone can help me out with the above series of questions.....thanks in advance! 🙂

Stay safe,

John C.

do i need to repost each question as a separate post?

to save time, can i email you the 4 questions again instead, as i need to solve them asap for my client?
