Adding space between navigation links in the footer

Recommended Posts

Hi,

How can I add space between the navigation links in the footer? My site theme (Magnolia) doesn't allow that. Is it also possible to have 3 links on the left and 3 links on the right? With the logo in the middle.

Hoping for an answer!

All the best,

T

Actually, I wasn’t suggesting starting with CSS. In the footer area, you can create 3 columns. Add text to the first column and link to the pages. In the second column, add your image. In the third column, add text and link to the pages. You can change the column widths and add spacers if needed. You could then add CSS if you wanted additional styling.

@Tinasor, yes, that's what I do when I want a different layout. If you are on Squarespace 7.0 then in the Pages menu you'd drag the Footer Navigation pages into Not Linked. Then use text to type the links in the footer in a text box, then link them as text to the footer pages.

@Tinasor make sure you are doing all three steps:

1. Save the link

2. Apply the change

3. Save the block

So it’s Save, then Apply, then Save. If you miss a step it won’t work.

If you aren't able to create a link for text, you should definitely get in touch with Squarespace customer support. That's a core feature so if it's not working, they need to know.
