Tinasor
Hi, How can I add space between the navigation links in the footer? My site theme (Magnolia) doesn't allow that. Is it also possible to have 3 links on the left and 3 links on the right? With the logo in the middle. Hoping for an answer! All the best, T Link to comment
christyprice
You would need to do this manually with hyperlinked text and the image. christyprice.com 🇺🇸 Austin, TX US ✅ For Web Designers: Squarespace Client Process Checklist. Tinasor
Thank you @christyprice . Yes I figured i'd need to enter a code in CSS. Are you able to guide me further? Thank you! Link to comment
christyprice
Actually, I wasn’t suggesting starting with CSS. In the footer area, you can create 3 columns. Add text to the first column and link to the pages. In the second column, add your image. In the third column, add text and link to the pages. You can change the column widths and add spacers if needed. You could then add CSS if you wanted additional styling. christyprice.com 🇺🇸 Austin, TX US ✅ For Web Designers: Squarespace Client Process Checklist. Tinasor
@christyprice Oh wow thanks i didn't know that it was possible. Does that mean i have to delete the footer navigation menu and enter the links manually? Link to comment
christyprice
@Tinasor, yes, that's what I do when I want a different layout. If you are on Squarespace 7.0 then in the Pages menu you'd drag the Footer Navigation pages into Not Linked. Then use text to type the links in the footer in a text box, then link them as text to the footer pages. christyprice.com 🇺🇸 Austin, TX US ✅ For Web Designers: Squarespace Client Process Checklist. Tinasor
@christyprice Thanks a lot, tried it and layout looks great but for some reasons hyperlinking the text doesn't work. Once I link it it to a specific page it just doesn't work Link to comment
christyprice
@Tinasor make sure you are doing all three steps: 1. Save the link 2. Apply the change 3. Save the block So it’s Save, then Apply, then Save. If you miss a step it won’t work. christyprice.com 🇺🇸 Austin, TX US ✅ For Web Designers: Squarespace Client Process Checklist.
