Can you add photos with different aspect ratios to the same gallery section?

I am rebuilding my SS website using 7.1 starting with the Beaumont template. My headshot gallery includes images with different aspect ratios. The gallery section template does not seem to allow for images with different aspect ratios as it is cropping images. I would like to show all images full sized and am struggling to find a way to stop the template from cropping them. I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I can do so. tx
