Add thumbnail image to top of blog post

Hi! So my client has this current site: https://www.bandjadvisors.com. They like how the blog posts have the thumbnail image in the banner and the title is centered.

I've redesigned them into this template: https://heptagon-dandelion-n3c5.squarespace.com. Password: bandj2020

How can I add the post thumbnail image into a banner and center the title on each post?

Your clients current site, that has the full bleed banner,  is Anya or another member of the Bedford Family. Because the new template is password protected I can't know for sure which one it is. Once we know that we can help with your design for full bleed banner with centered text. 

I think you could try inserting an image at top of the post, then use JavaScript to move it into a banner. I can't help this, because it seems very complicated and time-consuming.

If you want to set a image same as all blog post, I can give the solution. ✌️
