Rodney
Site URL: https://www.rodneyloughjr.com In the past we have been able to Hide a product page (which houses multiple products for sale w/in shopping), but make specific products 'Visible'. This kept the products from showing up in the search results. Recently this stopped working and products were 'Not Available'. This is what we got from SS this morning... "I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing some issues with your site. I'd be happy to look into them with you here. Disabled Products Page By design, products cannot be purchased from disabled pages. This has always been the design from the very beginning. However, it does looks like there was an issue that arose around 2015, when your site was also created, where products from a disabled page that were added to a Product Blocks allowed customers to add this product to cart and complete their purchase. It looks like this issue had affected your site. What looked like expected behaviour was actually a bug on our end. I do apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. I understand that you had built your site around the belief that this was an intended feature. This issue has since been resolved and it is no longer possible to purchase products from a disabled page. " So the base SS code was in error (beautifully I might add for the past 5 years) but now that they have 'fixed' their mistake which has created issues on our search results. Now every product is available for search results. We would like to know if there is a way to do what we had been doing...i.e. have products available for purchase but not show up in search results? Hi @creedon it works but its not a long term solution for my client who will keep adding posts and doesnt know how to code and will not manually add the code to hide each blog post. Im looking for a way to hide all the entries at once something like this maybe but I dont know how to tweak the code for my page https://sf.digital/squarespace-solutions/how-to-remove-unwanted-items-from-squarespace-search-results Link to comment
creedon
Certainly understandable that it's not a long term solution. Find my contributions useful?
