Basic fonts supporting macrons?

Recommended Posts

On my site, I use a lot of macrons (vowels with a line over them) in order to spell words like Māori, Sāmoa, Ryūkyū, and sо̄rо̄bun correctly. I've been playing around with some of the basic fonts (Orpheus, Kepler, Cormorant, etc.) that are directly available in the SquareSpace editor, but I can't seem to figure out which one of them will make these appear properly, across a variety of devices/browsers.

From Googling around, I saw some complicated-sounding solutions involving Adobe TypeKit and stuff like that, but I suspect it'll be a lot easier to do with the basic fonts already available. The only question is, which one will work for this? I've tried quite a few of them, but I can't seem to find one that works. Thanks.

Hi there, I have the same issue with a website I'm using. I see the link to your site above shows macrons correctly now. How did you solve this? Thanks
