Have you built a new website or want to do a new build?  Do you want to change templates with the site you have? Your site is built on Wells family and it is 7.0. If you simply want to move your domain to a new site, either activated or not, you enter config/go to settings/domains and choose the option "use a domain I own". This is rather simple when moving from one Squarespace site to another.

This will help if you want to change templates without building a new site.

Squarspace to Suarespace, then on the new site use the domain I own option. Once it moves then cancel the first site.

There is no option to move to another site. You go to the new site/settings domains/ choose domain I own button, follow directions and squarespace will move it from your old site.  You should activate the new site, which you do from the new site not the old one. Once that is done you cancel the old one. You did create the new one with the same account Log on? If you did not then it becomes a bit more complicated to do.

Name servers will  stay the same. As you start, a picture of you old site will pop up, click it and  log on to "confirm"  the move. Then after its done you can cancel the old one or change the billing date and let it expire. The internal .squarespace domain will still function until old the site is gone either way. In the very rare event there is some kind of issue and the move cannot happen, then an email will be generated telling you what the problem is, but as I said that is very rare.

You should follow the instructions that say : "this domain is already registered with Squarespace move to another site".  Transger or connect either one will do it for you. Start this  from your new site.  This is done by a lot of designers here, it will work out.

thanks sir
