Adding a Petition to Squarespace Website

Hey Everyone!

Is there a 3rd party service (or a way) to integrate a petition sign-up form on a Squarespace site?

The basic functionality that I want it to possess is:

• Form fields that allow me to collect name, location, zip-code, display the order of their sign-up (e.g., submission 1, 2, 3, etc.)
• Submit button
• Maybe the data is also captured and easily recorded in a backend spreadsheet (e.g., Google Spreadsheet)
• The data is displayed on the Squarespace page one the form is submit and the page is refreshed

Any thoughts on how to make this happen? Either through a custom integration or an iFrame'd code injection?

I too am interested to know about running  a petition on Squarespace.

It seems like we'll need a lot more activity on this post to get Squarespace to listen but I too would like this feature. It seems like with a closed ecosystem it will have to come from them.

Im hoping another inquiry here will push towards a response or update to how one can embed or integrate a petition onto our website where a user does not have to leave the page.
Change dot org used to have an action widget to embed petitions it seems, but for whatever reason has abandoned it.
Any information to work around this would be greatly appreciated.

There has to be a way to do this. Petitions are a key part of any comms campaign. SquareSpace is fantastic but it's missing this crucial feature. Even a bar that shows how many submissions a form has received would be helpful at this point.

I am also trying to add a fill-in form for events that will provide a spreadsheet of registrants to use at check in.  

Folks you can use a standard SS form that feeds the data to a Google spreadsheet. That is the easier part.

The harder part is providing feedback on the SS site as to what is happening.

I want to collect signatures for a petition too.  The signatures themselves must be a secure electronic signature in order to be valid in my case.  Perhaps Adobe has a plugin?  Has anyone read item 6 on the forum and contacted SS customer service to make the request?

I too want to have a Sign the Petition form on a SquareSpace website.

Folks I think it unlikely that SS would add this feature. Your best bet would be to search for petition services that might allow petitions embedded in your site.
