Organizing landing page

Hi guys,

1/I am using ALEX, can you please tell me how can I get a pretty clean landing page with square areas (images and text)

For the time being, I am just doing adding text and picture + a button but it doesnt really work- especially now that I m planning to create more content

I want to change my landing page (currently www.theconfusedarab.com) - to have new  articles visible  on the first page like on this page https://www.theatlantic.com/world/

now for the time being  I just create text block with a button but it's not aesthetically optimal

Looks like some of the sites you shared are using a summary page as home page. 

Yes indeed, but how can I link pages which are not created as blog (but as NON LINKED normal pages)?

When I try to create a summary, the only option I have is to take from "blog pages" which I am not using.

what will be the option please?
