Main Page of Blog - Getting Rid of "Older Post" Tab?

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://robpeace.org

Hey there, friends.  The site is not up and running yet - quite a few more tweaks to do - but the issue I am working on now is this:

I would like the main page of the JOURNAL tab to be my most recent post, which I have all set up and it looks good to go.  However, at the end of that most recent post, the OLDER POST tab is there, which is fine.  But when clicked, it takes you to the previous post all right but with the banner from the most recent post.  All of my blog posts have their own separate banner as you can see if you click each one on the sidebar.  That all works fine -- when the posts are clicked via the sidebar, they come up as I want them to.  But the banner for all of them remains as the most recent post when clicking the OLDER POST tab.  Is there any way to fix this?  Or even remove "OLDER" and "NEWER" at the bottom of the posts?  I wouldn't care if they were gone, because that's what the sidebar essentially is for anyhow.  Not sure how to go about this or if I even can.  MUCH thanks in advance!

When I click journal on the Nav bar and scroll down to the older posts link, the URL is this:

https://robpeace.org/journal?offset=1588653693972 and when I click it, it  goes to measurements but does not change the banner.

If I click the journal tab and then click view post, I see the same post but when I scroll down to the older posts the link, the URL is this:

https://robpeace.org/journal/measurements

I click it and it goes to measurements with the right banner image. It seems to me that the older posts link on the journal page needs to be edited to match the one when you click see post and scroll down to the Older posts link. I don't know the Bedford family that well but this is obviously a  quirk. Hopefully it is easy to fix, and will be if the link can be edited.
