I find it annoying how when opening a lightbox image the url become long with crazy text. Anyway to edit the lightbox url down to something simple Dior-1, Dior-2 etc...? For the love of me i cant find what template I a using. Did a template ID search and nothing. And all help says is Squarespace Version 7.1 Gallery page url: https://www.nickbarr.co/dior Gallery page when lightbox is click: https://www.nickbarr.co/dior?itemId=cditd0iu1dk0qtc2noz87rzdwt29em Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
7.1 is one template with different style designs but any one of them can be tweaked to like like another one if you wanted to do that. The designs don't have name ids that any finder software can find for that reason, only one template. Config menu is the same for all 7.1 designs. After starting a site the actual template name will not show up in the help panel only the version 7.1. You can give a single image or one in a gallery section your own url. Gallery sections Gallery sections are only supported in version 7.1. To add clickthrough URLs to images in a gallery section: Add a page with a gallery section to your site, or click an existing page with a gallery section in your Pages panel. Click Edit on the page. Hover over the gallery section and click the image icon. Click the image where you want to add the clickthrough URL. In the Link field, enter a URL, or click for more options. Link to comment
nickbarr
Hey Derrick, Thanks for your response. I understand the URL for the images, but when you add the lightbox feature you still get a long URL extension. I just find it annoying you can't edit this, unless you have any other ideas. Before you click for lighbox feature: https://www.nickbarr.co/dior After clicking image to go into lightbox: https://www.nickbarr.co/dior?itemId=cditd0iu1dk0qtc2noz87rzdwt29em How do I simplify the extension ?itemId=cditd0iu1dk0qtc2noz87rzdwt29em to something simple like https://www.nickbarr.co/dior-1 etc... for each image.
