HOW TO CHANGE COLOUR OF TEXT OUTSIDE OF TEMPLATE COLOURS

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://lettuce-tambourine-849s.squarespace.com/config/pages

I feel really limited by the colours available to me in my template - Paloma. I would love the text to be various different colours in different parts of my home page. Is there any way I can do this? I have never coded before. Currently the text is white, and I only have the option to change it to black or a salmon pink. This is what I would like to change it to for example. Thank you in advance.

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. The first link you sent me shows how you can adjust colour of sections but on the 7.0 version of Squarespace which has the 'Site styles' tab etc. however, I am using a 7.1 template for a blog called Paloma and don't have the 'site styles' tab. I checked out a video for how to change colours on my version: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028367571?flash_digest=20f3a2021904d2cd4de6841cdba1fd1aaad9bf25&platform=v6&websiteId=5ea181189aafa907cc19501e but this suggests to go into the colours panel and scroll down to 'advanced' options - however I don't even have this 'advanced' button on my panel. I am wondering if it is because I am currently on the 14 day free trial so I don't have access to all the Squarespace features at the moment?

I also tried right clicking on various sections but I have no option to 'Inspect Element' as you demonstrated in the second link you sent me. However I do have the Custom CSS tab - is this where I input code?

Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you so much!
