kleemcadams Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 Site URL: http://booksquadgoals.com/blog I'm trying to create a "home" page for my blog consisting of summary blocks that will display content from different tags. I know how to use the tag filter to display content from certain tags, but I was wondering if there's any way to EXCLUDE a tag from a block. The reason I'm trying to do this is because my blog has a ton of posts about television, and a hefty number of those posts are recaps. Because we weren't planning ahead, all of the posts related to television are tagged 'television,' and then recaps have the additional tag 'recaps.' I'd like to have a summary block that displays posts about television that AREN'T recaps, but right now the only thing I can think to do is go through all of the old posts and add another new tag to them like 'not-recaps' (and there are a lot of old posts). Would be much easier if I could simply create a block to display 'television' tag but exclude 'recaps' tag. Anyone have a workaround for this?
derricksrandomviews Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 Adding another tag or category is going to be your best bet. I have had to do that myself for the same reason. If you want to hide them from the viewer then here is the code: .collection-type-blog article footer { .tags, .categories { display: none; } } my random views derrick Lee parker
