Image Block Text Mobile Styles 7.1

Site URL: http://focusedartistsbranding.squarespace.com

On desktop, we can use color overlays to make image captions more legible. On mobile, hovers are not compatible so it automatically overlays the text right over the image. When the image is light and the font is light, this becomes illegible and there are no features to edit mobile styles to prevent this in 7.1 currently.

What is a workaround so I can at the very least change just the color of these image block captions and titles to a legible color?

You can add image overlay color, with this code (Home > Design > Custom CSS)

@media screen and (max-width:767px) {
div#page-section-5e3111ef0f6dd313bf55db35 .image-block .sqs-block-image-link:before {
    content: "";
    display: block;
    top: 0;
    left: 0;
    right: 0;
    bottom: 0;
    background: rgba(0,0,0,0.3);
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 999;
