How to display variant options as photos, not drop-down menu?

Hello,

I want to display the variant options for my products as photos (like the ones you can see on Amazon's listings), NOT text in a drop-down menu.

The customer should be able to click on the photo of the variant they want, then add that to their cart.

Is this possible?
