You can upgrade from Personal to a commerce-enabled plan without making changes to the site. You can keep your current template and design. However, it is worth noting that your current template (Aviator-family ) was launched in 2012 and is therefore quite dated in terms of features and capabilities for commerce. If you upgrade your billing plan and continue to use the same template, you will only have access to the 'Classic' product features, rather than the 'Advanced' ones. 'Advanced Products Pages' provide these additional features: Quick View Image Zoom Advanced hover options Customizable Share buttons Product waitlists If you want to use a newer Squarespace 7.0 template (the Brine-family is recommended for commerce) you can switch templates to try this out without affecting live users, or you could start with a duplicate of your website and modify this instead. If you would prefer to use one of the latest Squarespace 7.1 templates, you will need to start from scratch, as they have yet to launch an upgrade/migration tool from 7.0 to 7.1. I hope this helps. -Paul About: Squarespace Circle Leader since 2017.
