Looking for advice on page setup

Hi everyone!

I'm currently in the process of setting up a page, with a teaser page currently online.

The site will be a compilation of several texts, videos and audio-recordings as part of an arts project. We were originally planning on setting up a show in May, but those plans got cancelled for obvious reasons. Instead we'll publish them online.

I've currently looked at the "blog" layout, which seems easy enough, but I was wondering if I was overlooking som good layouts or designs.

Preferably the design would be a minimalistic list of posts containing one work each.

Any input?

Try a page with summary blocks. If you are using 7.0 those blocks can pull from different pages, from a gallery, a page of videos if they happen to be on a blog page, etc. You put the source pages in the unlinked section of your site and the summary page does all the preview work for you. You can layout a summary block in a number of ways, wall, grid, slide show (carousel). Its very versitile.  Here is mine if you wish to look. I am pulling from my blog only but I could pull from galleries as well, but there are in an index page. the think i like is the blog and the image layout compliment each other on my site and the home page accentuates the whole look.

Thanks for your reply!

The site will primarily consist of texts, in the form of novellas, poems, videos and audio and so forth. Using the layout you're suggesting I would fear it would look a bit bland given we won't use any pictures for any of the works.
