Squarespace Form Submission - Custom From Email Address

Is there a way or are there plans to allow for custom "from" email addresses on form submissions? If I make a form for a customer to receive and a user submits a form, the customer sees an email from Squarespace, not from their email or some other address that would make sense for the person receiving the filled form. I have several use cases where the person receiving the filled form is possibly a client, or end user that doesn't know of Squarespace and I have to explain why they are getting emails from this address. But more importantly, I want the filled form submissions to look more professional if they are coming from a related address and nor from no-reply@squarespace.info.

I have the exact same question, when a visitor submits the "Contact Form" the email is sent from "no-reply@squarespace.info" and the FROM NAME is "SQUARESPACE" , this is a big problem because it doesn't look professional and doesn't fit with the website's domain and branding and i had to explain to my client many times that "squarespace.info" is the website host email, one of them even blocked it thinking its spam!

i really hope there is a solution for this, for some of us this is a major issue !

anyone have a solution for this ? thanks

No, you cannot change the "From" address on Form Submission emails. These arrive from form-submission@squarespace.info. The only way to change this is to send the emails to a third-party automated service and then forward them on.

However, you can change the email address that appears on Email Notifications generated by Commerce, for example:

  • Order confirmed
  • Ready for pickup
  • Order fulfilled
  • Order refunded
  • Digital downloads
  • Donation confirmed
  • Payment declined
  • Product not available

For more details see Reply-To and From Email addresses.
