Wait list button?

Hey all, quick question re: waitlists and commerce. There are several items in our store that our currently out of stock. When you see it on the main page and quick view, all you can see is that the item is out of stock. However, when you click on the full item view, there is an option to sign up on a waitlist. 

Is there a way to set it up so that user can add their email to the waitlist from the quick view or main page, without clicking all the way through to the full item? I'm just worried we're losing a lot of potential people. 

I'm also interested in seeing this.  I wonder if you have to custom add a button to each item on the main shop page.  Pain in the butt though.
