oli1000
Hi everyone, I am using "Nolan" template. I have a major issue trying to add a "collection" in the form of a "blog", as I would like to add a "summary" to my home page, linked to that blog. However, when I create posts in the blog, and hit the button "edit", to add tags, excerpts, etc, it goes straight into the page and doesn't allow me to add any tag or excerpts. (I saw many tutorials showing how to add excerpts, but they all have a pop-up window with more options/functions, which I don't have) As a result, my "summary" doesn't display the text I want, nor gives me the ability to display any tags. I am stuck and can't find any help online on this. Anyone is able to assist? Thanks a lot, very much looking forward to sorting this out. O. Link to comment
ChrisBartow
If you are using Squarespace 7.0, you can get to the screen that lets you edit all the details by going to the page you are stuck on then clicking Edit Post on the top right. If you are using Squarespace 7.1, you can get to the same screen by clicking on the gear on the top right on the blog post you would like to edit. The summary should be pulled from the Excerpt under Options on this screen. I attached two photos showing where each of these are. I hope this helps. oli1000
Hi @ChrisBartow, thanks a lot for your help, I found it! I wasn't aware of the different template versions, but it now makes sense. While I'm here, do you have any idea how to remove the links from the pictures? I intend to use the summary grid as a final output, without the possibility to click on each item, but can't seem to find how to. That's much appreciated, thanks, O. Link to comment
ChrisBartow
@oli1000, I don't see a way to do it in the interface, but you could remove it with some CSS on the page or globally in Design -> Custom CSS. .summary-thumbnail-outer-container > a { pointer-events: none; } Creating websites using Squarespace at Design by Donuts 🍩 Link to comment
