In Markdown a return is adding a horizontal rule

@tuanphanI am working on a markdown block and I have a numbered list. If I use </br></br> after the numbered list the following paragraph is indented like the numbered list. If I use a regular return (return key) is adds a horizontal rule.

What I am after is a regular return (return key) without the horizontal rule. Any ideas?
