Working with the Harbor Template

I am going to recast an old HTML site, https://westoncraftshow.com in SquareSpace using the Harbor template. There is one feature on the current site which is an index page for artists and then links to individual artists pages. I am thinking I can recreate this with a custom layout for the individual artists' pages. Does this seem like a good approach. 

Also do you have other recommendations for Events templates.
